All of their personalities change when the king is involved. Pouf becomes irrational and overprotective. Pitou is exhibiting symptoms in their own way in reaction to the king's order.

You could also look at it as an exceptional command from the king for Pitou to fix Komugi. He only half commanded; the other half was desperation. I'm sure that shook Pitou to the core to see their absolute king in such a vulnerable position. Pitou is probably completely mind fucked trying to fulfill it at all costs and restore the king back to normal.

Not really. Pitou is just stuck between a rock and a hard place. They have to heal Komugi as ordered by the king which means Pitou has to use Dr. Blythe and that means there is no aura for anything else. So at this moment Gon could easily end Komugi's life before Pitou can react, they also can not risk stopping Dr. Blythe for a second since that may end Komugi's life as well. Meaning there is no other option than to bargain with Gon, and with their arms broken Pitou may even be weaker than Gon.
